Easy way to lift ford truck a few inches.?
OK, i just bought a 89 ford f150 XLT lariat, I was wanting to give it a little bit more ground clearance. And i can’t afford a full package lift kit. I was told that i can go to a junk yard and get the rear block or suspension parts of a 1 ton ford, since they where and inch or two higher that a f150, and it would work, if true, i could do that. but how can i get the front a little higher also. i’m not wanting over 3 inches of lift. and what would be the best choice in tire size and brand for this truck for max ground clearance with out it rubbing. Oh im asking all of this cause the truck has headers and they come down to close to the ground. and i’ve rubbed them a couple of times on the ground, and i don’t want them to get smashed when im off road.
I have seen plenty of website whith lift packages. I just can’t afford them, yet.
Thanks for the website Tanner, i did find some things on it, for some other vehicles i own.

the biggest lift kit in the world won’t lift your diffs giving you more clearance. look into body blocks too with bigger tyres. i’m sure an 89 ford would already have heaps of travel
